Our bespoke Mirrored Infrared Heating Panels here at Surya Infrared Systems not only keep you warm with healthy, safe heat, they also let you check out how good you’re looking before you head out too!
They’re perfect for use in a bedroom or a hallway, with our best selling panel providing a solid 700W of infrared heat from the 600 x 1200mm sized frame.
What this means is that you can have refreshing heat that feels like you’re stood outside on a summer’s day, whilst making sure you look good before you head out for that party, or for having one last check in the hallway before you leave your home.
The great thing about this panel is that you can mount it on a wall using the brackets and screws that are supplied in the box. You can mount it in landscape or in portrait orientation, depending on whether you prefer to have a full body length mirror or not.
You may have some difficulty figuring out just how many panels you need for any given room, considering how new infrared heating technology is.
In actual fact, the method for working this out is simpler than you might imagine. It just requires a measuring tape, a calculator, and some knowledge of how well insulated your home is.
By measuring the length, width and height of the room in question in metres, you can calculate the volume in m3 by multiplying the 3 numbers together.
Then, you can estimate how well insulated your home is depending on when it was built. As a guide, homes built before 1930 will be poorly insulated, those built between 1930 and 1980 will be moderately insulated, and homes built after 1980 will be well insulated.
Poorly insulated buildings will need around 30W per m3, moderately insulated homes will need 25W per m3 and well insulated homes will only need 20W per m3.
Multiplying the volume by the recommended wattage per cubic metre will give you the total wattage requirement for the room, allowing you to then decide how many panels you want.
You can read about this process in much more detail in our guide to buying IR heating panels.
One of the major advantages that infrared heating has over convection radiators is that IR panels can blend in with their surroundings.
Conventional radiators are obvious when you see them – they’re limited by the fact that they operate through piping and have to be placed on a wall along the floor somewhere.
Our IR panels don’t suffer from this problem, as you can place them anywhere you want. Not only that, but they don’t look like heaters – and our mirrored IR panels showcase this really well.
To anyone who was none the wiser, it would simply appear as a mirror on the wall, but in reality it would provide healthy infrared heat.
If mirrored IR heaters don’t take your fancy, then why not check out our custom infrared panels instead? They let you have your own images printed onto your panel, giving it a real personal touch.
Of course, another major plus point about infrared heating is that it’s far cheaper to run compared to electric convection heaters.
Fundamentally, this is because of how infrared heating works. Instead of using convection current to heat the air around it like a typical convection heater, it fires out a series of infrared beams around the room that heat the objects that the beams hit.
At a basic level then, IR panels heat objects rather than the air – and it takes far less energy to heat surface area than it does volume of air.
Lower energy requirements equate to far lower energy bills for you. It also means that they’re much kinder to the environment too, reducing your carbon footprint.
When you buy any panel from our mirrored range, you’re covered by our 14 day home trial period. We understand that when buying online, items don’t always turn out to be what you thought.
For this reason, you can try it and if you’re not happy for any reason, you can return your panel to us for a full refund or exchange within a further 14 days.
All you need to do is send it back in condition fit for sale, along with all original parts and packaging.
Beyond this, your panel comes with a 2 year warranty courtesy of Mirrorstone Heating, covering you for any faults that may occur. As the panels feature no moving parts though, the likelihood of something going wrong is very low. This is also extendable to 5 years at no extra cost.
